I disconnected the chip and ran the rest of the trip without it and no more limp mode. It was not happening every time I slowed down, but more like every 4 times (30-60 mins apart). It continued to drive all sweet until I needed to slow down and speed up leaving a town and boom, limp mode.
I turned the car off and back on and there was no engine light. Once I had crossed the road and was accelerating back up to 110, the car went into limp mode with an engine light up. That was until I had to slow down to 60 to cross a crossroad. After driving for a few hours at 110kms the car was going fine, no issues. Last weekend driving from Melbourne to Adelaide my car started going into limp mode. It is like the Steinbauer chips and piggybacks onto each injector. It no longer just plugs into the front of the engine. The car feels like a new car, a much much faster new car.
